New York, NY – December 15, 2010
Patron Technology, a company specializing in technology solutions for arts and cultural organizations, announced today that it reached the semi-finals of salesforce.com’s Appquest competition – a contest designed to highlight innovative apps built on the Force.com platform – with the company’s PatronManager CRM system.
PatronManager CRM was designed to solve the key problem facing many arts & cultural organizations – important information needed to run the business is stored in multiple files and formats scattered across many computers. PatronManager CRM integrates and manages all of an arts organization’s key operations: tickets and subscriptions, donations, correspondence, e-mail marketing, calendars, and daily tasks.
The Appquest competition attracted entrants across all industries from healthcare to business services. Patron Technology was one of only a three companies to make the semi-finals with an app designed specifically for the nonprofit sector, and PatronManager CRM was the only Force.com app for arts and cultural organizations.
“Arts and culture organizations, especially in this current economic environment, are constantly looking for innovative ways to market their performances and offerings while also improving the efficiency of the back-office computer systems they use,” said Eugene Carr, CEO, Patron Technology. “PatronManager CRM is a cloud-based system, which means organizations can access it from any standard web browser and don’t have to spend money on expensive computer hardware or software.”
“Winning Appquest was a long-shot at best given that we were competing against mostly for-profit apps, which is why we are very proud to have reached the semi-finals,” Carr said. “Our mission is to empower arts and culture organizations with world-class technology that enables them to do what they do best – offer enriching arts programming to their patrons, donors, and communities.”
