How Effective Is Email Marketing?
I recently read this article from Abacus and couldn’t help but share it with you. The following quote from the post really caught my attention.
It [email marketing] is still a far more effective way to acquire new customers than social media. The rate at which emails prompt purchases is not only estimated to be at least three times that of social media, but the average order value is also 17% higher*. Don’t get us wrong, social media is an increasingly important medium in the digital marketing mix, an absolute “must do” means of actively engaging with customers with PR signals – just don’t forget the humble email and its more direct approach.
I hope you’ll read the entire article and then ask yourself how much effort you’re putting into growing your e-mail list, vs. building social media. Compare the ROI of those efforts and I think you’ll see why e-mail continues to be the most powerful digital tool for arts marketers.
