Having done both, I can attest to the fact that running a nonprofit is just as time consuming and stressful as running a startup. There are a ton of great articles and advice for CEOs of startups about how to utilize their time in the most efficient ways. Sadly this has somehow never become a focus in any of the non-profit publications I keep up with.
That’s why this article from First Round resonated with me. It covers familiar territory – how to conquer your inbox, how to have more effective meetings, and how to say ‘no” more often (and how to do it well). I found the section on how to ensure internal meetings are productive extremely useful – their tips mirror techniques we use at our company, and I can tell you they work amazingly well.
So if you’re finding not enough time in your day, make five minutes for this article.
