Patron Technology Has a Busy June!

Patron Technology’s schedule includes Houston Arts Alliance, League of American Orchestras’ 67th National Conference, and Theatre Communications Group’s 2012 National Conference

It’s a busy month for Patron Technology and Founder and CEO Eugene Carr, who will be presenting to arts executives at three major conferences and events in June.

On Monday, June 4th, Mr. Carr presents at a seminar session for Executive Directors and Box Office Managers in partnership with the Houston Arts Alliance. Based on his newest book, Breaking the Fifth Wall: Rethinking Arts Marketing for the 21st Century, this session covers the essential techniques that arts managers, marketers, fundraisers, and box office managers can use to work together more effectively and to reconnect with patrons beyond the venue, using social media, e-mail marketing, websites, and CRM.

The seminar session is scheduled from 10:00-11:30 AM and is followed by an optional 45-minute demonstration of PatronManager CRM, Patron Technology’s new all-inclusive, web-based system designed for arts and cultural organizations that combines box office ticketing, donor database management, professional email marketing, comprehensive contact management, and effortless staff collaboration. On Wednesday, June 6th, Mr. Carr will host a select group of Symphony Orchestra Executive Directors at a luncheon during the League of American Orchestras’ 67th National Conference where Patron Technology will be a featured conference sponsor. The conference, which highlights examples of creative thinking from inside and outside orchestras in the areas of sustainability, innovation, and community engagement, is at the Sheraton Dallas, 400 North Olive Street, Dallas, TX, 214.922.8000.

On Saturday, June 23rd, Mr. Carr will be a featured panelist speaking on Public/Private Collaboration to Aggregate & Share Data at the 2012 TCG (Theatre Communications Group) National Conference. The theme of the conference is Model the Movement: Transforming a field into a movement, one new model at a time – How can we transform our theatre field into a movement for the digital age? We can do it by changing the system of how we share, measure, and adapt what works!

The panel, which will be held on Saturday, June 23rd, from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM, is moderated by Terrence McFarland, CEO, LA Stage Alliance. The LA Stage Alliance and Patron Technology formed a partnership in 2010 to provide new technology and a new approach to audience development, building community among small theaters. TCG raised capital to support the project from three national foundations and, today, over 70 organizations participate in this growing program. McFarland and Carr, the two principals, will describe how they created the partnership, explore similar models, and share their key discoveries for other organizations that want to create public/private partnerships or partnerships that span many organizations.
