August 22-24, 2018 | New York City
“Every year the PatronManager Community Meeting gives me a shot of mental energy to take back to my organization to help it run better. I couldn’t live without this conference!”
Join us for the 2018 PatronManager Community Meeting. We can’t wait to welcome you and your colleagues to New York City, August 22-24, 2018.
We’re thrilled to host the conference this year at an exciting new venue, Convene, located in the heart of Times Square on 46th Street! This spacious, state-of-the-art setting will allow us to provide expanded programming in a fresh, inviting home. Our inspiring sessions, motivating activities, and workshops will challenge users of all levels.
Convene provides powered workspaces with high-speed wireless internet (so make sure to bring your laptops and tablets). Additionally stay fueled up throughout the day with a complimentary continental breakfast and access to the venue’s Nourish Stations, which include unlimited snacks and drinks.
And, as always, the week will be packed with fun networking opportunities with your fellow PatronManager users from around the country.

Why Attend
</h
“Attending the Community Meeting is an integral part of the success we’ve had with PatronManager. Continuing education, talking with others that do what we do and getting one-on-one time with the staff is invaluable.”
“It wasn’t just an event for training on a database, it was an event to network with the different communities you share common elements with. This event is very valuable to the running of our non-profit organization.”
Join over 250 of your fellow PatronManager users to discover how to do more with your PatronManager account, hear about the latest product updates, and connect and collaborate with colleagues from around the country.
It doesn’t matter your level. It doesn’t matter your role. The PatronManager Community Meeting is designed for all users, beginner to advanced, box office staff to fundraisers (and everyone in between), to learn and grow your knowledge.
Over the course of the week, you will be immersed in sessions that will teach you the tools you need to customize your PatronManager account to meet the specific needs of your organization.
Hear more from last years attendees:
“The best part is when you’re sitting in a session and something comes up that you’ve wanted to do before and you think ‘I didn’t know it was that easy!’”
“There is so much education packed into the three days of the conference, and it’s not all about the scheduled sessions…it’s about spending time with fellow PatronManager users.”
“The community meeting is a fantastic place to meet your peers from other PatronManager organizations, to see how they’re using the system, and answer questions you might not even know you have!”
“After four Community Meetings, I still walk away with numerous insights and practical, useful processes I can start using immediately.”
“As a brand new user of PatronManager I found the conference not only extremely educational but also inspiring.”
“I have worked in a few different CRM platforms and attended their user conferences. This was by far the best conference I have been to. From the staff interaction and training to the wonderful arts community representatives present, this conference far exceeded my expectations and made me want to immediately dive into work and put everything I learned into practice!”
“If you work with PatronManager in any capacity, you should attend this conference! You’ll learn something old, something new, something borrowed, and something green, yellow and blue.”
“Hearing from other users about how they customize PatronManager sparked a lot of ideas and made me think about what improvements could be made within my own organization.”
“If you want to discover just how much you can do with PatronManager, do not miss this conference.”

Visiting New York
New York on a budget
We know that New York City has the reputation of being expensive, but that shouldn’t stop you attending our conference this year!
Below is a list of ideas and suggestions for enjoying your downtime without breaking the bank.
Lodging:
- Our hotel block (at The Kimpton Muse Hotel) is currently sold out.
- There are many other options in New York (at a variety of price points). Here are some additional ideas:
- Airbnb: Want to see a side of the city you may not get staying in a hotel? Connect with an Airbnb host and feel like you are more than just visiting the Big Apple – it’s like you live here!
- HotelsCombined: This is a wonderful aggregate of all top hotel websites so that you can find the best options from across the internet in one place!
Transportation:
- Take the subway, not a cab!
- Use public transportation to and from the airport (all three airports have public transportation options).
- Check out Lyft Line: a more affordable option if you need to go somewhere on four wheels!
- GoAirport Link – Cheap shuttles from the airport to NYC
Eats and Drinks:
- Get outta Midtown! Check out Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn for cheaper nightlife options, and definitely hit up Happy Hours for cheap drinks.
- 99 cent pizza is everywhere and really perfect for a genuine New York plain slice
- Hot dog stands are common throughout the city, though we don’t recommend this (or pizza!) as a staple sustenance.
- Food trucks offer fairly cheap, filling snacks from kebabs to hamburgers to gourmet ice cream. There are many higher-end ones popping up about the city, we had some epic homemade tacos at one in Brooklyn
- NYC super-stuffed bodega bagels and sandwiches are a good budget-friendly lunch option, as are fast, casual chain options like Pret a Manger
- Don’t forget: as part of the conference, we’re hosting two happy hours, and they both include food, so that’s two dinners taken care of!
Live Shows:
- TKTS: The saving grace of all Broadway fans in the city. TKTS offers discounted tickets for practically every show on Broadway. Never, ever pay full price again!
- Digital Lotteries: Is standing in line a young person’s game? Then digital lotteries are your ticket to affordable Broadway seats, if you’re lucky! Enter the lottery online, and be eligible to win as low as $30 tickets for shows as popular as Wicked and Aladdin!
- Indie Theatre: The Off-Off-Broadway movement is thriving, and in many ways, surpassing its Midtown older sibling with electric (and affordable) new shows from The Flea, Bushwick Starr, JACK, and more!
Galleries/Museums
Don’t pay full price for zoos and museum, utilize these free times!
- Museum of Modern Art (FREE Fridays 4-8PM)
- Museum of Moving Image (FREE Fridays 4-8PM)
- 9-11 Memorial Museum (FREE Tuesdays 5PM-close)
- American Museum of Natural History (FREE in its last hour, otherwise always pay-as-you-wish)
Touristy Stuff!
- Want to see the Statue of Liberty? Try the Staten Island Ferry for free look!
- You’re walking in the footsteps of Broadway legends with Times Square LITERALLY outside the conferences door!
- Want to see the iconic NYC skyline? Take a walk on the High Line or through Brooklyn Bridge Park!
