Introducing STS Online Gift Card Redemption
It’s the first day of fall, which means the holidays are right around the corner. We understand that this is a fiscally important time for arts organizations with end-of-year fundraising campaigns and big ticketing pushes. With this in mind, we’re pleased to announce the much-anticipated added functionality of online Gift Card Redemption as part of our September 2019 release.
To bring you this upgrade, we’ve expanded our integration with the leading gift card company, Smart Transaction Systems (STS). Their robust gift card management system works directly with our ticketing functionality, keeping things easy for patrons and backend administrators alike. We’re also excited to share that this feature is available for organizations that charge sales tax, which was not previously an option.
Now for the exciting details! With our new complete gift card management solution, your patrons can easily purchase physical or digital gift cards and send them directly to family and friends! To redeem a gift card, patrons can simply purchase tickets as normal online through our Public Ticketing Site, and click the new gift card option at checkout. They can also redeem gift cards directly at the box office or over the phone. If a patron’s gift card balance isn’t sufficient to cover the order total, no worries! They’ll simply be prompted to enter credit card information to cover the remaining balance.
This added gift card functionality has been on our product roadmap for quite a while, and we are absolutely thrilled to bring it to you just in time for the holidays!
