Eventually All Technology Becomes Entertainment

I wish I could remember who it was that years ago said something like, “Eventually all technology becomes entertainment.” I thought that was pretty insightful, and I was reminded of it today when I read this article in E-marketer that talks about how people use their iPads and tablets.

By far the most significant use is watching short-form videos. If there’s any doubt that our society is moving from text to video, here is more evidence:
